Mission Statement 

Our mission is to propagate and proliferate Shaolin's traditional culture by providing the unique “Unity of Chan and Body” way of teaching.  We aim to enrich the society with our focus on strengthening both the mind and the physical body as one.  The focus of our temple is to conjoin both Shaolin martial arts along with the teachings of Buddhism as demonstrated by the Shaolin Temple in Songshan, China.   We strive towards educating others about the teachings of Buddhism while also spreading the ancient art of Shaolin kung fu

The Shaolin Kung fu & Culture Foundation, Inc. strives to fulfill the aims and goals portrayed by Head Abbot Shi Yongxin of Songshan Shaolin Temple.  

The Chinese Wushu has a long history while Shaolin Gongfu is even known worldwide.  For more than one thousand years, people from Wushu fields of every generation like to father in Mountain Songshan, where Shaolin monks can collect the cream of every Wushu faction, then study it, enrich it and improve it.  Finally, they have created Shaolin Wugong which became famous worldwide by combining Buddhism and pugilism.

Shaolin Wushu has a style of its own in international  Wushu field because the feautures of power, simplicity and practice, passing on way of theorization, systematization and forming a series of skills and tricks.  What more is that the combination of Zen and pugilism makes it be full of mysterious colors, Shaolin Wushu therefore is a bright rare flower of the Chinese national history.

In recent years, Shaolin fever becomes ever more popular in the world.  Shaolin Wushu is becoming the focus of the people worldwide.  Shaolin Monk Warrior Group has already visited dozens of countries and performed Gongfu for more than thousands of times.  The exchange of teaching and Buddhism has enriched the mysterious charm of Shaolin Wushu.  More and more people from every place in our country, even all over the world, are eager to learn Wushu and Buddhism gathered in Shaolin Temple.  This rightly represents the wonderful situation of the development of economy, the country being prosperous and the people being at peace as well as the popularity of Zen after the reforming and opening of our country.  In the internal of Shaolin Temple, everything changes rapidly; the belief of Buddhism is more and more popular and men of talent come out in succession.  

It's to be wished that support and assistance from the people of all fields of the country could be achieved.  At the same time, its hoped that more and more Shaolin disciples could dig, search, inherit and develop Shaolin culture and bring more benefits to human beings.
